Extraction column

Mass transfer apparatus in which the dispersion of immiscible liquids occurs during mechanical mixing or by passing through perforated plates under applied pulsation.
Columns can be used to work with liquids containing insoluble residue.

* rotary disc column, RDC
** pulsed column, PC
The PC does not contain any moving parts, which guarantees a long service life.
Height of column mixing zone — 1 meter with the outer diameter of 50 mm.

Number of theoretical plates — up to 5.

Throughput — 2–40 l/h.

The glass casing of the column allows to observe the processes occurring inside the mixing and settling areas.

The separator dividing the mixing and settling areas is combined with chemically resistant quick release couplings for quick, durable and hermetic connection of the columns with the dosing pumps or tanks and vessels.

Convenient adjuster of the phase boundary position in the form of a tee.

The PC contains fixed perforated plates of a special design. Liquids are dispersed passing through the holes in these plates when pulsation is applied. Mixing of liquids takes place in a horizontal plane, which minimizes the axial mixing and increases the separation efficiency.
A clean compressed air source with a pressure of at least 2 bar is required for operation of the PC. The PC is equipped with the compact pulsation control system.
